You're Finally Here - And I'm A Mess
Well, a truth with modifications. There's no new Pearl Jam album available, and I'm actually quite fine.
But it should be fair to say, that there will be a new album. The band has been in the studio recording. Have they just started out? Is an album half-baked or done, mixed and ready for release? Who knows? I don’t.
All Open And No Code – Eddie Vedder Berlin 2019
Thrilled to go to see Edved in Berlin, this time accompanied by my daughter Lulu. Saw Pearl Jam, and met Eddie for the first time, when Lulu was just two weeks old (I should have been at home I know … Sorrryyyy) so there's a lot of family and band history mixed up here. I remember sitting with Ed (who was then not a father), in San Sebastian November 1996 on the No Code tour , showing him pictures of my newborn, and remember how emotionally he responded. Later Lulu and Ed has met …
Heartland Festival: Smashing Pumpkins, Raconteurs, Primal Scream. Perfect
“Festival season is up in Denmark and Europe. Already been to favorite up-coming SPOT in Aarhus and last weekend it's the quality 'talks, food and music' at Heartland, in beautiful surroundings with Egeskov Slot (Castle) as the visual centre. This was the fourth season of Heartland and my third. It's hard to beat my debut in 2017 when Eddie Vedder played, and I watched the entire show from the side of the show, standing next to a handful of people including Cat Power, Glen Hansard and Michael Stipe, with Eddie giving me a big, wet hug after the encore, saying 'Henrik, I love you', for then to run of stage and disappear. Although no Edved rendezvous this year, there was a great line up. Here's a little festival postgame from Heartland Festival.” – Henrik Tuxen
Pearl Jamm and the songs they love to play live
It’s an honor to welcome Pearl Jamm onto the stage!
Some time back Henrik Tuxen had a cozy tete-a-tete with Pearl Jamm about what song they love to play live. Join us for a special live setlist:
As a musician and a fan, the songs you like to listen to are not always the best fun to play and vice versa. Playing a song gives a different perspective to it and can bring some to life to some tunes you don't usually listen to. The songs we have chosen are based purely on which put the biggest smiles on our faces or that we personally connect to emotionally during a live performance.
A Fresh Start. A New Beginning
January, on the Western hemisphere, typically winter, ice cold, but also fresh and clear, a new breath, a new beginning. Time to evaluate, make amends, set the record straight, kill bad habits, strive for new and better ones, set a new pace, fire up the engine, and go.
Such a typical topic for a number of Pearl Jam songs, in different shapes and forms packed with anger, love, hope and dreams. Always about facing and acknowledging the past and with that moving forward for stronger ideals, goals and dreams. Not just for oneself but for all of us together, whether on a private scale, or as far as the big global agendas.
The Waiting Drove Me Mad
Happy birthday Eddie, Merry Christmas, and thanks to you and the band for an excellent and thrilling Pearl Jam year 2018. I've had several memorable personal meetings with band members and saw seven shows (and were at the venue for two canceled ones, Buenos Aires and London) on three different continents. A close to perfect year, except for one thing … What's happening with this new album?
