Summer of 2014 was full speed on all channels for me. Not only was I busy following PJ on tour, and keeping score of the soccer/football World Cup from Brazil, but I also had a lot of work to do, including different interviews. One of them was with Lenny Kravitz in Paris, which miraculously fitted in between seeing PJ respectively in Amsterdam and Berlin. Here’s a little snippet from the book PEARL JAM The More you Need - The Less You Get:
“The first stop on this leg is Paris, where I’m going to interview Lenny Kravitz, who is renowned for being nice but extremely taciturn. I know this because I tried getting him to open up once before in New York, eliciting an equally lackadaisical response from both him and his dog. So I’m looking forward to a new chance to interview him in Paris. He turns out to have a lot more to say this time, without ever coming close to what could be deemed decidedly talkative. I tell him that I’m going to see Pearl Jam after our interview, and he expresses his great admiration for the band. He’s seen them live recently and thinks they’re at the top of their game.“
