Grunge died - and on the third day punk was resurrected

Grunge died - and on the third day punk was resurrected

I interviewed guitarist Noodles twice and in 2000 had an extensive solo-interview in Stockholm, Sweden, with frontman and song-writer Bryan ‘Dexter’ Holland. The band had at that time once again cracked the mainstream sales and commercial barrier with ‘Americana’ and ‘Pretty fly for a white guy’.

Summer of 2014 was full speed on all channels for me. Not only was I busy following PJ on tour, and keeping score of the Soccer World Cup from Brazil, but I also had a lot of work to do, including different interviews. One of them was with Lenny Kravitz in Paris, which miraculously fitted in between seeing PJ respectively in Amsterdam and Berlin. Here’s a little snippet from the book.

Stone Gossard: Jeff Ament is the musical leader of the band right now

by Henrik Tuxen in collab w/ Pearl Jam Nordic

I’ve interviewed Stone Gossard over two one-hour sessions in April during the pandemic, together - alone in each of our home and country. But the Skype connection was good and the atmosphere and content even better.

Gigaton, Covid 19, activism, spirituality, the interaction in Pearl Jam, tough challenges, optimism, Eddie Vedder's state of the art, Jeff Ament peaking, track by track, more songs and albums in the future, etc.
