Five Against One – Those double nights
by Henrik Tuxen
Tour opener 2014 and 2018 and supposed closer Europe Summer Tour 2018. All double nights; Amsterdam is a PJ favorite classic. I was there for both shows at the Ziggo Dome in 2014 and truly had a blast. Great shows, great town. In company with a fine lady, friends, family and a lot of backstage action.
Lenny Kravitz - ‘I love Pearl Jam’
by Henrik Tuxen
Summer of 2014 was full speed on all channels for me. Not only was I busy following PJ on tour, and keeping score of the Soccer World Cup from Brazil, but I also had a lot of work to do, including different interviews. One of them was with Lenny Kravitz in Paris, which miraculously fitted in between seeing PJ respectively in Amsterdam and Berlin. Here’s a little snippet from the book.

Polish Jammers – Louder and happier – The Touring Tribe.
I’ve never been to Poland, and that’s a mistake. I even had a sweet polish girlfriend at one point . But I’ve met lots of great polish PJ fans over the years, who’ve struck me with their enthusiasm and insight into the world and music of this band.

Avocado week 2020 #3

I kind of came a bit backwards into Pearl Jam. When grunge appeared, it was all Nirvana for me. I realized that Rearviewmirror from Vs was awesome, but totally fell in love with Soundgarden’s Superunknown at time of Kurt Cobain’s death.
When a friend a year later enthusiastically played me Vitalogy …

Avocado week 2020 #2

As I have experienced both before and earlier. It can be seriously difficult to get access to Fort Pearl Jam, but once you do, the door and hospitality is wide open.
Although 2006 marked the 10-year scratch for my first meeting and serious hangout with Pearl Jam and especially Eddie Vedder, this was my first at the band's private residence so to speak, The Pearl Jam HQ Warehouse in Seattle. March 1st 2006.
The album – my Pearl Jam year 2006
Avocado week 2020 #1

Here’s an ode to the Pearl Jam album, also known as ‘The Avocado’ due to the iconic cover. On May 1st it has been 14 years ago since this album saw the light of day. A well-received album by both and fans overall and in many ways a return to the classic rocking style of the early 90s, whereas the successors Binaural (1999) and Riot Act (2002) still stands out as the bands most alternative outputs.
Pearl Jam And The Ball
Europe tour, start Amsterdam, almost a tradition. I clearly remember 2014, where I saw both shows at the Ziggo Dome. A lucky guy with +2 to both shows, I was in good company, partly female, and then my brother and an old local college from Amsterdam got to see a show. Things were absolutely cooking outside the Dome, when we reached our destination. An area I mostly knew from Ajax Amsterdam, the famous traditional football club, where many danish stars has blossomed, and still do to this day. Lasse Schöne and Kasper Dolberg from Denmark's troup to World Cup in Russia 2018 are both currently shining stars in Ajax.
